Product: You will receive 1/4 cup (4 generous tablespoons) of live active water kefir grains. This will produce about 4-6 cups of delicious water kefir starting out and more as it grows.

Yield: This amount of kefir grains will produce about 4-6 cups of delicious kefir each batch (24-48 hours) to start with and much more as the kefir grains grow.

Notes: Our grains are grown in Organic Whole Cane Sugar. This sugar makes for extra healthy and happy kefir grains. It also gives it a slightly brown tint (as pictured). Upon arrival, you will notice that the water kefir grains will be sitting in a light brownish liquid. The color is simply due to the organic raw brown sugar. If you grow it in white sugar, they will turn clear. Keep in mind that these grains can usually thrive in any desired sugar and will change color based on the sugar used.

Yemoos is fantastic

Happily used Yemoos milk kefir grains for a couple of years before I got tired of the daily ritual and bagged it. Now using Yemoos water kefir grains and am really amazed at the level of very happy growth. I actually like the taste of the water grain kefir a bit more than the milk grains. Lesson learned...first ferment, I covered the jar with a loose paper towel only to find a moth drinking my kefir the next day. Sidebar, I'm 80 and male...two strikes against me...and generally only follow directions when demanded and commanded by the other half, but I did follow instructions in this case for a change and put half the grains in the fridge in sugar water. So, started over and all is well. Decided to buy a couple of 64oz jars. The 32's just weren't quite big enough for all this success. Thank you Yemoos, you guys are a national treasure. (Former Buda, Texas resident, now in Green Valley Arizona)

Happy Little Kefir Grains!

High quality and happy grains! Took about 3 feeds to get them up and running (as instructions specified). Nice packaging and my husband and toddler got a kick out of the cute instructions and adoption certificate!
