Yield: This amount of kefir grains will produce about 4-6 cups of delicious kefir each batch (24-48 hours) to start with and much more as the kefir grains grow.
Notes: Our grains are grown in Organic Whole Cane Sugar. This sugar makes for extra healthy and happy kefir grains. It also gives it a slightly brown tint (as pictured). Upon arrival, you will notice that the water kefir grains will be sitting in a light brownish liquid. The color is simply due to the organic raw brown sugar. If you grow it in white sugar, they will turn clear. Keep in mind that these grains can usually thrive in any desired sugar and will change color based on the sugar used.

I have ordered kefir grains from other places which come dehydrated. It takes weeks to get them going full tilt. Not so with these grains from Yemoos which arrive in a packet of liquid. After only 2 or 3 changes of sugar water, they were producing good kefir with carbonation. What I would estimate as 1/4 cup of grains turned into 2 cups of grains within weeks. I can't say enough good things about how strong and healthy these grains are! Thank you, Yemoos!

Just so You know I don't often do reviews.
Because men do NOT often offer anything impressive.
The GRAINS DOUBLED, almost as they should [so they all say] within two days of delivery right out of the mail. NONE of the others ever really produced much. THESE Grains are Larger and obviously prove to be far more HEALTHY than any purchased previously.
This is important because: I need more Grains as I have found that fermenting or inoculating fresh fruits, vegetables and such
FOR PRESERVATION much like one would with lacto fermentation is Totally Awesome this method works by adding some liquid from the grains and a Tablespoon of Grains to the top of a jar.
What is awesome about this method is that what is preserved remains as packed, yet slowly fermented WITHOUT SOURING the fruit or produce. It is Amazing. The MOST Amazing Thing however is Drawing Close to The Only True God Jehovah. It is in-Deed The Blessing of Jehovah that makes one rich. Proverbs 10:22
I have been a regular making of Kefir. My crystals died after a 3 month vacation. I ordered more from Yemoos, followed the directions exactly but nothing happened. They crystals were a dud :(

Water kefir grains can sometimes take a few batches to fully wake up after shipping, and results can depend on water, sugar, temperature, and mineral balance.
